Untie It!

Mark 11:1 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.

Sometimes we think our steps to Jesus are difficult. We think that we must “find” the path to Him. And many of us have been taught that we will never really get where we hope to get.

But truth is that all the hard has already been accomplished. Jesus already died and rose again. What more could be needed!

I love the moment in our text. Jesus is getting ready to enter Jerusalem for the final time. It is just over a week before he will die on a cross. He is getting ready to be welcomed into the city by some of the same people who will be yelling, “Crucify him.”

And he wants some help from his disciples. It is a fairly simple thing that he requests. He wants them to just untie the colt and bring it. Untie and bring. I could do that!

What is the simple thing the LORD is asking from you right now? Are you willing to untie and bring?
