33Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
In the middle of life we can get connected with non-believers and they can influence how we see the world. The Corinthian believers were being influenced by some teachers who were saying that resurrection did not exist, that once you are dead, you are dead, that there is no life after death. And if there is no life after death, then why not just sin like crazy since there is no hell. What we believe changes what we do. If we hang around with people who are always drinking in order to have a good time, pretty soon we will be drinking to have a good time. Peer pressure does not stop when we pass the teen years.
