Our times of worship and praise should be the most glorious events on earth! They should reflect the glory that exists in heaven. Heaven is not a place of passive worship. The hosts of heaven are active in their worship. They are not sitting back watching what is happening, they are involved. How involved are you in worship? Do you realize that the Creator of the universe is present and working when we worship? Jesus is present and He died for you. He gave up everything to help you out of your troubles. He loves you. He has provided life and breath and everything good for us to enjoy. How can we be passive when we are in His presence? I try to bring my whole self into worship. My body is part of me, so my body gets involved when I worship. I use the little bit of voice I have to sing. I listen to the words and reflect on their meaning. I would like to kneel when the words say kneel. I would like to fall face down before Him when the words express that. I want to shout when shouting is appropriate. I don’t want to stand still and not allow myself to be fully involved. I want to give everything I have, including my worship to the Lord. I cheer at a ball game. I can get involved in worship.
