4If you see your brother’s donkey or his ox fallen on the road, don’t ignore it. Help him get to its feet.
This section of Scripture is about practical ways to help show that you care about another person. This one is showing you care about them by caring for their donkey or ox. Caring about someone is not limited to caring for them directly. You can care for them by caring about their things and protecting them. We are not to think and act in isolation. We are connected together in community. What happens to one of us, happens to all of us. So, today, if you see someone who needs help, help them if you can. Do it because Christ lives in you and He wants to help them. Do it for them because it pleases the Lord when we act as He would act.
