20 So Jacob served seven years to get Rachel, but they seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her.
Love can make time fly. Love for a bride-to-be made seven year pass by quickly. Love of what you do daily can make the day fly by. The opposite is also true. When we hate what we do daily, days seem to drag on forever. Do you love what you do daily? Or is it a chore? If you can, try to pursue things that you are passionate about. If you have the choice of career, chose one that will meet your financial obligations, but even more importantly, chose one that you will enjoy doing. When I have hated what I was doing, life dragged on. It was as though the clock couldn’t move any slower. Each moment just seemed to hang there way too long. But when I am doing what I love, time moves by. If you can’t change what you do, then ask the Lord to help you get a better attitude toward what you do. If our attitude is right, time will seem to move more rapidly again. And besides, when you have a better attitude, time will move faster for those around you. Their tasks will be more enjoyable.
