Today is the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus, God’s solution to our problem. With all the billions of dollars spent on each other, it would be nice if people focused on the gift God gave to humanity. Jesus is the priceless gift given. Take some time today with your family and remember Jesus’ birth. Maybe read Luke 2:1-20 as a family. It is the traditional birth narrative with the shepherds. Then take a few moments a talk about Jesus birth in your life. Maybe your kids have not heard the details of your new birth. Maybe today is the day to share. As you eat the 8000 calories today, remember those who have 1000. As the lights on the tree twinkle, remember those who don’t have the light of Jesus. Enjoy the presents, the food and the family.
