25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
As our representative before the Father, Jesus does more than simply die for us. He now intercedes for us. He is our advocate. He speaks on our behalf. He is praying for us. I am remembered by God! I am not forgotten. Even in the middle of my darkest days, I am on God’s mind. He is thinking about me. Sometimes in life we feel very much alone. We feel as though we are the only one going through our trial, the only one who knows how difficult a time we are having. But the Lord is thinking about us. And when we are on the mind of the Creator of the Universe, then His power is active in our situation. Our thoughts don’t create anything. But when God thinks of things, His power moves things and people. So it is good to be on God’s mind. Just knowing that we are not alone is just what we need to know to make it through a situation. Sometimes we have an earthly connection in times of difficulty. Sometimes no one stands at our side. But even in those solitary times, He is interceding for us. We are on His mind. The darkest hours are dark because we feel alone, abandoned, rejected. But God is already in the valley of the shadow of death. He is there waiting for each of us to pass through, either as part of our journey, or as we walk on behalf of another. He is there! No matter what circumstance you find yourself embroiled in, God is there. Even in sinful, rebellious places, God is there to offer you a hand out. Reach out to Him today. He is there with you no matter what situation you are in. He is there.
