25Oct 2010 Matt 25:21

21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
Faithfulness gets rewarded. When we use the gifts God has given us properly, we will have the opportunity to be in charge of even more. Faithful stewardship leads to more stewardship. If we want to move up in a company, be faithful at what you are doing now. Of course politics gets involved, but faithfulness will get rewarded. Sometimes we have to wait until we die before we will see the reward, but that does not eliminate the reward. This can be hard to see in a world that thrives on short-term gain. We watch the stock market and get all excited when it rises or falls by a few point. For most of us, those fluctuations don’t really affect us. We have no control over those fluctuations. But we do have control over those extra little purchases that we make each month. If we eliminated those unneeded expenses we could pay off that house, get rid of the credit card debt, pay cash for a car, and live within our means. If we are faithful with what we have, then the Lord can trust us to be faithful with even more. Be faithful with what you have. Use what you have wisely. Start the change today.
