11 “Who among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is like you— majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?
Who is like the Lord? No one! The Lord’s holiness shouts its uniqueness. His holiness stands in a class by itself. When His power is demonstrated people are fearful of it and Him. The Lord does things that will blow your socks off. We don’t often see an Exodus event, the parting of the waters and the drowning of the warriors of Egypt. These types of supernatural events, events directed and told about in advance, don’t happen too often. That is one of the reasons the Lord preserved them in Scripture. We can read about His intervention in history and be encouraged and strengthened. But the Lord still works wonders today. Our problem is we only look for the Lord’s hand when we are in a pinch. When our world is falling apart, then we look for God’s help. But I say to you, the Lord is working every day. We just need to open our eyes and soften our spirits, and we will see God at work daily. If we become as little children, able to marvel at a crocus cutting through the earth, we will see Him. There will be opportunities for conversations that we never thought possible. The Lord will turn conversations in order to give us the opportunity to share the joy of Jesus and the Hope of glory. Every day the Lord wants to show up in our lives, but we just aren’t looking for Him. Our eyes are turned so many other places, we just don’t see Him moving. He wants us to recognize His holiness, His absolute moral purity. His power is such that no matter what the need, His power can provide a solution. Look for Him today! And His promise is, that if we look for Him will all our heart, we will find Him.
