38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,d neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Talk about heavenly superglue! When we join the team and choose not to walk away, God will not allow any external element to come between us, to cause a break in our intimate fellowship with Him. How often there are breaks in our earthly relationships. We let a misspoken word, or an interpretation of a look, or a hidden jealousy create a barrier between friends, even friends in the fellowship of believers. The sad truth is, if we allow earthly barriers to separate earthly relationship, we are simultaneously creating a barrier between us and God. Our earthly relationship mirror our heavenly, and our heavenly our earthly. They cannot be separated. And all the blame for the failure is ours and ours alone. God has provided the solution in the love of God demonstrated in the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus. We not only have an example of how to live, but now the power to live that life is available, if we will simply trust God. The only obstacle is ourselves. Are you willing to get out of the way and fully trust?
