5 If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection.
United, not just an airline. Those of us who have traveled anywhere know the concept of being united. When we step into the plane or sit in a car we become united with it. Wherever that vehicle goes, we go. We travel at the same speed in the same direction at the same time. We have not lost our individual identity, just our will to go our own way. It is a voluntary yielding of our will. We can sill choose to go our own way, but we must exit the vehicle in order to do it. When we exit we take a side trip, a trip tailored to call our name and give us the opportunity to get back in the vehicle. Are you on a side trip today? If you are, get back in the vehicle. Jesus is waiting. He has opened the door. His hand is outstretched. Step in!
