Tax time cometh! Most people don’t like tax time. The possibility of an audit, even for those people who file their taxes honestly, looms like a storm cloud. Maybe it is that annual review at work, or when you turn in your cash box at the end of your day at the checkout line. We must give an account of our actions to the person who is in authority over us. When we get stopped by the police, we are held accountable for our actions. I know that sometimes you get away with it because of your tears or innocent smile, but you get the picture. A day is coming when the population of humanity, past, present, and future, will stand before their Creator and be required to give an account of their actions, line by line, moment by moment. I know for myself that there are a few lines I would like to erase, a few that when read will cause people to blush. I am glad that at that moment my Master will come to my defense and speak up on my behalf. His right acts will replace my wrong acts. Lines of text will evaporate. I pray I have lines so infused with Jesus that they remain.
