An absolute impossibility in the age of ‘science’. We have come to accept the idea that there are always exceptions. The laws of gravity seem to get suspended in the vastness of space. “I before E, except after C….” Oil and water don’t mix, except in hydrogenated butter substitutes. Marriage is for a man and a woman, except if it is politically incorrect to believe that. But there are things that by their very nature cannot exist because they violate the very nature of God. God’s character is faithful, always consistent. He cannot help but be faithful. I am a human being, made in the image of God. I cannot get up this morning and choose to be of another species. I am stuck. It is my nature. Oh that our character would be consistent, reflecting the character of the One in whom we have trusted our very eternity. We have cashed all our chips and placed them on the Resurrection. Both God’s faithfulness and His justice, His ability to stay true to His nature and His ability to see through the lies and deceptions, are an absolute. They will never fall out at the last minute. Help us Master, to be as You are!
