Romans 1:18

Godlessness and wickedness. Acting as if God does not have moral authority in our lives or acting as if there were no moral authority at all, that sure sums up our times, doesn’t it! And to top it off, people try to bury in concrete the reality of that authority with more and more evil acts. They do this in an attempt to silence the deafening shout of God. In what ways are we attempting to silence God’s claim to our lives? Note that God is against ALL godlessness and wickedness. That applies to our own personal stash of favorite naughtiness. We as Christians must be the first to clean up our act, to come out from under our self-poured concrete covers that we have used in an attempt avoid our own responsibility before God. If we don’t we can be sure that God will use everything at His disposal to get our attention. He will even let the natural course of our bad behavior takes its toll in our lives in an effort to get our attention. Wouldn’t it be much easier to just submit to His authority in the first place? What is preventing your 100% admission and submission to God’s claim on our lives.
